KraftTech paves the way for next-generation EV charging in Rönnby Community

Aterion subsidiary KraftTech, has played a key role in delivering a reliable and user-friendly EV charging solution for Rönnby Community in Västerås.

In response to the community’s requirements, KraftTech conducted a thorough evaluation of available options including a reliable and easy-to-use charging box for its members.

Guided by this feedback, KraftTech selected the state-of-the-art Garo Entity Pro 22 charging box. Drawing on its expertise in power network safety, installation, and measurement – KraftTech developed a robust system architecture tailored to the project’s needs.

In collaboration with Elektroskandia, the project secured the delivery of 264 charging boxes, with the first 60 units arriving within one day of order placement. The installation features a master box in each parking garage lane connected to nine service points, along with local dynamic load balancing across up to four levels.

An open interface facilitates integration with external systems such as various payment service providers, while a partnership with Eways enables direct billing for electricity consumption, thereby reducing administrative complexity for the community.

Installation began in May and is expected to be completed by July, with full commissioning anticipated between September and October following the utility provider's new connection. KraftTech’s careful planning and systematic approach have been central to providing a practical and reliable charging infrastructure for Rönnby Community.

KraftTech specializes in electrical infrastructure, focusing on grid protection, charging station installation, and metering.
