ELB Kraft completes 36Kv cable installation for 150 MW wind farm project

ELB Kraft, an Aterion group company, has successfully advanced renewable energy infrastructure with its completed project a 36kV cable installation for a new 150 MW wind farm outside Åseda, commissioned by PEAB.

With its completed project – a 36kV cable installation for a new 150 MW wind farm outside Åseda, commissioned by PEAB.

The wind farm outside of Åseda is set to become southern Sweden’s largest and once fully operational, the wind park’s 47 wind turbines will produce green electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of 120,000 homes.

During the project comprehensive testing was carried out, including leakage, current return, circuit tests using Ymer measurements, sheath tests to verify quality and operational reliability and partial discharge (PD) measurements.

With the project's completion, approximately 100 km of single-conductor cables were installed and five customer stations commissioned. This endeavour marks a significant achievement in delivering a robust and efficient cable installation solution for the wind power park.

ELB Kraft offers technical consultancy and electrical installation services within local grids across Sweden, with expertise in design and planning, preparation, cable troubleshooting, inspection and electrical installation work.
