Aterion Acquires Freds Fjärrvärmeservice AB

The acquisition adds new capabilities in installation, repair, and specialized services for district heating systems, a stable market segment with steady growth, supported by long-term demand from municipal and industrial energy providers. With technical and operational similarities to power infrastructure, district heating represents a natural complement to Aterion’s existing business.
Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Jönköping, Freds Fjärrvärmeservice is a comprehensive provider of installation and repair services for district heating systems, with particular expertise in piping and culvert solutions. The company supports customers throughout the full project lifecycle, from consulting and system design to implementation and maintenance. Typical clients include municipal energy providers.
”This is an important milestone for us. District heating is a reliable and established energy solution, and by joining Aterion we can continue to serve our customers with the same high quality while benefiting from the strength and support of being part of a larger group. This will give us new opportunities to grow, take on more complex projects, and further develop our business over time,” says Fred Lindberg, CEO of Freds Fjärrvärmeservice.
”The acquisition adds new capabilities to the group and marks our entry into thermal energy networks, a stable and resilient market with predictable demand. Freds Fjärrvärmeservice is a trusted partner to energy providers, and their expertise and strong position in the market make them an excellent fit as we broaden our service offering and strengthen our position in sustainable energy infrastructure,” says Eric Johansson, Group CEO of Aterion.
